Due to popular demand, the City of Phoenix, through a partnership with the National Bank of Arizona and Paramount Solar, is expanding a city-sponsored residential solar financing program.
Solar Phoenix 2 allows qualified homeowners in the APS and SRP utility districts to go solar with no upfront cash investment. Because there are no immediate upfront costs involved, homeowners will start reaping the financial benefits of solar power generation, which is free solar energy, from the first month of service.
The local administration expects that Solar Phoenix 2 will give up to 1,000 Phoenix homeowners a chance to adopt solar power by the end of 2012. The National Bank of Arizona has made a commitment of $25 million and there are opportunities for low and moderate-income homeowners in Phoenix and the surrounding areas.
