If you own a clean energy business in the Midwest of the United States, or currently studies a related subject, you have until December 5th to enter the Clean Energy Challenge. The main objective of the initiative is to help businesses brings their innovations to the marketplace.
Applicants can compete in either the Early Stage Business track or the Student Challenge. Each track will give grand prizes of $100,000. The Clean Energy Trust, who organizes the competition, said last year’s Early Stage winners have gone to receive significant venture funding. They are now headed toward being sustainable alternative energy businesses.
As to Student Challenge competitors, they may be getting an opportunity to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy’s first-ever national business competition for university students.
