Gemasolar near Seville in the South of Spain is the first Concentrated Solar Thermal Power with molten salt storage (CSP+) plant that can produce solar energy 24 hours a day.
It generates 20 MW or enough electricity to supply 25,000 homes. However, bigger plants of this kind are being planned in other parts of the world, such as the Middle East and the U.S., plants that can produce 100 MW and even 150 MW.
